Shadovoltaic Specification

Product Description: Fixed or controllable glass louvred external solar shading system, which incorporates glass louvres with photovoltaic cells integrated into the glass to generate electricity, also designed to reduce glare and solar heat gain.
  • Configuration of the system is determined by the building’s geometry/ requirements for solar shading/ the architect.
  • Buildings Functional Aesthetic Requirements – wide range of glazing types
  • Heat & Light reflecting fabric louvres are designed to reduce solar radiation, while creating attractive diffused light and maintaining good visibility to the outside
  • Monocrystalline/Polycrystalline cells may be used
  • Photovoltaic cells integrated into the glass by attaching them on the reverse side of the glass panels/ laminating them between two sheets of glass.
Systems: System 1 type LS1 (select)

Glass Louvres = **mm (max 3000mm) long X **mm (max 500mm) wide, depending on windload.

Glass is spider fixed to aluminium cast brackets, which are attached to aluminium torsion tube spanning between the mullions.

System 2 type LS2 (select)

Glass Louvres = **mm (max 2000mm) long X **mm (max 500mm) wide, depending on windload.

Glass is spider fixed to aluminium cast brackets, which are attached to the mullions.
